Adding a sensor to an asset

After your asset has been set up and is associated with a device with necessary physical sensors, you can now edit the name of the sensor by clicking on the pen icon.

In order for you to add a new sensor, you must ensure that you have purchased this option. Otherwise, when you try to add the sensor, the physical list will be blank and no data will be captured. Also, an icon will appear next to your sensor.

To add a new sensor:

1. Open the asset
2. Select the Sensors tab
3. Click Add (plus [+] sign next to the search field)
4. Choose a Sensor Type
5. Fill in the required fields
6. Click Save. The new sensor is added to the list.
